Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Friday extended greetings to the people of Tamil Nadu on the eve of Independence Day.
In the message, he said Independence Day was a solemn reminder of the supreme sacrifices, courage, and indomitable spirit of our freedom fighters, who devoted their lives to securing our nation’s freedom.
“We remember their invaluable contributions with deep gratitude and reverence. India’s journey since Independence has been marked by remarkable progress and achievements in diverse fields. Our nation today stands with confidence and renewed determination to emerge as a developed, self-reliant, and globally respected nation,” he said.
“The vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047 calls upon every citizen to contribute to the building of a strong, prosperous, inclusive and self-reliant India. Tamil Nadu, with its rich heritage, knowledge, enterprise and human resources, has a vital role to play in this national endeavour. On this auspicious occasion, let us reaffirm our commitment to the ideals enshrined in our Constitution and strengthen the values of unity, integrity, fraternity and democratic responsibility,” he said.
Mr. Arlekar called upon everyone, particularly youth, to dedicate themselves to nation building and to work with determination towards creating a better, stronger, and more prosperous India for future generations.
