Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS) vice-president Swami Smaranananda said that mediation, especially ‘Kriya Yoga’, provides a practical path to self-realisation and lasting inner peace.

At a programme organised by Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), in association with Union Bank of India and Yogoda Satsanga Dhyana Kendra, here on Tuesday, he delivered a spiritual lecture on “Meditation: An Antidote to Stress, Worry and Anxiety”.

“This timeless yogic practice offers effective solutions to modern-day problems such as stress, anxiety, and mental unrest,” said Swami Smaranananda, who is featured in the top 100 IITians dedicated to the service of the nation.

Highlighting the mission of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India, Swami Smaranananda described its role in preserving and disseminating the sacred meditation techniques taught by Paramahansa Yogananda, including the Hong-Sau Technique, AUM (Om) Technique, and Kriya Yoga.

He also gave a live demonstration of the Yogoda Energisation Exercise, explaining how these scientifically designed exercises help recharge the body with life energy, improve physical fitness, and prepare the mind for deeper meditation.

The programme was presided over by SVU Vice-Chancellor Tata Narasinga Rao, while Union Bank of India zonal manager Patri Srinivasa Kumar and regional head L.S.V.R. Sarma Somanchy, took part in the programme. Nearly 150 bank officers, university faculty, administrators and researchers attended.
