Streaming partner Zee 5 has expanded its Marathi content slate for its second year with new original titles, new season announcements of existing shows, direct-to-digital films, post-theatrical premieres, and venturing into AI titles.

As per the streamer, “Marathi storytelling has evolved into one of the strongest content ecosystems in regional streaming.”

The content slate features the return of two of Marathi Zee 5’s successful franchises withHey Kay Navin?, starring Priya Bapat and Umesh Kamat, getting renewed for season 2 while Devkhel Season 2 from Cinemasters Production bringing back the popular pairing of Ankush Chaudhari and Prajakta Mali.

The slate also involves new originals including Kon Yashwant Pansare? featuring Bharat Jadhav, Sharvari Jamenis, Pushkar Shrotri and Shivani Rangole and 112 from Coquelicot Pictures, created by Nikhil Mahajan and directed by Jeejivisha Kale and Rohit Satpute.

The platform’s post-theatrical premieres include the horror-comedy, Tumbadchi Manjula, as well as Bhootam Bhayam. Another original film, Adkitta, will have its premiere on the platform soon. It stars Siddharth Chandekar, Sakhi Gokhale and Sai Tamhankar.

Further expanding its entertainment section, Marathi ZEE5 will kickstart a Marathi stand-up comedy show, Hasva Hasavi which features comedians Anish Goregoankar, Fatima Ayesha, Sanket Joshi, Sahil Horane and Sahil Shaikh.

Its AI titles includes Garuda, Vikram Vetal, Shiv Sati, Chandrakanta, Tirupati Balaji, Narmada, Ram Anjanay Yudha and Barbarik.
