The Hindu 360, the Tamil YouTube channel of The Hindu, was launched on Saturday (August 15, 2026).

N. Murali, Chairman, The Hindu Group Publishing Private Limited (THGPPL), and N. Ram, Director, THGPPL, launched the channel in the presence of Nirmala Lakshman, Director, THGPPL, and Suresh Nambath, Editor, The Hindu.

Mr. Ram said The Hindu was started in 1878, and in 2026, The Hindu 360, the Tamil YouTube channel, has been started. This is a landmark initiative, he said and added that videos in Hindi are also being done.

“We are [giving viewers good content] after extensive research. Investigative journalism should reach the Tamil audience too,” he said. The Editor, Suresh Nambath, and his team have taken the initiative to start the channel with support from L.V. Navaneeth, CEO, The Hindu Group, and the digital team, he added. “This initiative will work well. I hope the public benefits from the channel,” he added.

Mr. Nambath said that this channel is an effort towards reaching more users in formats of their choice.
