Two youth were killed when they were allegedly hit by a speeding car on Friday while shooting reels on the middle of the Thachur-Chittoor Greenfield National Highway.

The deceased were identified as E. Jayakumar, 19, and his friend S. Lokesh, 17, both residents of Elayamman Kovil Street in Karlampakkam village near Pallipattu. The police said that the car coming from Bengaluru towards Chennai hit the youth, killing them on the spot.

Pallipattu police are conducting a detailed investigation.
