Amateur beekeeper David Beckham pays tribute to ‘little creatures’ for World Honey Bee Day

David Beckham has paid tribute to bees on World Honey Bee Day, praising them as “little creatures that do so much for our planet”.

On Saturday (15 August), the amateur beekeeper shared a series of videos of himself tending to hives and harvesting his own honey. “It’s only right they have their own day,” he wrote in the post’s caption.

The former footballer first started beekeeping as a pandemic lockdown hobby in 2020. He built a hive in the garden of their home and regularly posts on social media about his newfound passion.
