MANILA, Philippines — Several roads in Metro Manila became impassable to all types of vehicles Monday morning, August 17, as rains from the southwest monsoon, or habagat, continued.

As of 9:30 a.m., the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and local governments reported the following flooded areas:

  • NS Amoranto from G Araneta Avenue up to Sto Domingo Avenue - 19 inches, knee deep
