President Volodymyr Zelensky said that a new trilateral meeting involving representatives of Ukraine, the United States, and Russia should take place before autumn.

The head of state made the statement during a joint media briefing with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

Zelensky said that after a phone conversation on Wednesday with U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, he received proposals that the Americans would later discuss with the Russians.

"I think that after that there will be a trilateral meeting. Certainly, all of this needs to be done before autumn. I believe we need to work persistently toward this. If it depended on us, it would have already happened in July. But not everything depends on us," Zelensky said.

The President also noted that the U.S. is currently focusing on Iran. "The ceasefire in Iran is not what everyone would have wanted," he explained, adding that despite this, he would continue to work for diplomacy.

As reported, the latest round of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia took place in Geneva on February 17–18.
