A new weekend dining experience is bringing unlimited grilled meats, seafood and Filipino street-food favorites to the Mactan coastline as Marina Seaview Restaurant launched its Marina Sunset Seafood and Grill Buffet on August 14, 2026, running every Friday to Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. until November 15, 2026.

As the sky turns gold over the water and ocean breezes roll in, Marina Sunset Seafood and Grill offers a front-row seat to slow down, pass the plates, and share an authentic salo-salo by the sea.

The ₱988-nett buffet combines live grilling, local flavors, sunset views and live entertainment, giving families, friends and groups another way to gather over food in Lapu-Lapu City.

Bringing the Filipino grill to the Mactan coast

At its core, Marina Sunset is built around something familiar to many Filipino gatherings: food cooked over charcoal and shared around the table.

The menu also brings the flavors of Cebu and Mactan closer to the buffet table. Fresh seafood selections include shrimp, squid, scallops and sinugbang isda or anduhaw.

The spread also includes bagoong rice, plain rice, chicken sotanghon soup and local sides such as kinilaw na guso, talong kinilaw, kinilaw na ampalaya, saging nilung-ag and steamed okra. Squid ball and fish tempura skewers add another street-food element to the spread.

The buffet’s live-grilling station also serves unlimited pork and chicken skewers alongside street-food staples such as isaw, adidas or chicken feet, atay ng manok, hotdog BBQ, Chorizo de Cebu and Ginabot sa Opon. The meats are continuously basted with a marinade made from soy sauce, calamansi, garlic, brown sugar and banana ketchup, recreating the sweet, savory and smoky profile associated with Filipino barbecue.

The menu is significant because it leans into food that Cebuanos already know. Local favorites such as Chorizo de Cebu and Ginabot sa Opon connect the experience to familiar local flavors while the seafood selections reflect the restaurant’s coastal setting.

As the sky turns gold over the water and ocean breezes roll in, Marina Sunset Seafood and Grill offers a front-row seat to slow down, pass the plates, and share an authentic salo-salo by the sea.

That positioning gives the new buffet a different purpose from simply offering an unlimited meal. It turns the transition from afternoon to evening into part of the dining experience, with the sunset and live entertainment providing the backdrop for a Filipino-style gathering.

A weekend dining option for Cebu gatherings

At ₱988 nett per person, the buffet includes unlimited grilled meats and seafood, appetizers, soup, sides, rice, desserts, drinks and live band entertainment. The price already includes the 10% service charge and 12% VAT.

The restaurant is also positioning the experience around group occasions. Under its 4+1 Birthday Celebrant promotion, a birthday celebrant can dine for free during their birth month when accompanied by at least five paying adults and upon presentation of a valid ID showing the date of birth. The offer cannot be combined with other discounts or vouchers. A 5+1 local beer promotion is also available for San Miguel Light at ₱1,130.

For Cebu, the concept taps into two things that naturally come together on weekends: communal dining and the appeal of the Mactan waterfront. Instead of requiring diners to travel far for a leisure experience, Marina Sunset creates a three-hour evening activity around food, music and the coastline.

The offering also gives local diners a reason to rediscover Filipino barbecue and seafood through a setting that combines familiar flavors with a sunset meal. Its menu moves from grilled street staples to Mactan seafood, then finishes with choco moist cake, ice cream with toppings, iced tea, soft drinks and water.

Running through November 15, the Marina Sunset Seafood and Grill Buffet gives families, barkadas and groups several weekends to make the Mactan coastline part of their next gathering. For diners looking for a seafood-and-grill feast that also delivers the atmosphere of a Cebu sunset, the experience offers a distinctly local way to end the day.
