MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives formally began its scrutiny of the proposed ₱7.2-trillion 2027 National Expenditure Program on Monday with a briefing by the Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC). The briefing signals the start of budget deliberations, during which lawmakers will review how proposed allocations will be spent and whether these will directly benefit Filipinos.
