According to Ukrinform, the Defense Ministry reported this.

“This multifunctional strategic-level unmanned aircraft is designed for deep reconnaissance, fire adjustment, and precision strikes against enemy structures, equipment and personnel at significant distances from the line of contact,” the ministry said.

According to the Defense Ministry, the Dovbush T40 has a wingspan of nearly 5 meters and can remain airborne for more than 24 hours. Its operational range is sufficient to strike targets beyond the Urals and in Russia’s Siberia.

During testing, the drone confirmed its stated tactical and technical specifications. It has a number of advantages over similar aircraft, including:

very low radar signature;

  • a high-performance engine with an electronic fuel-injection system;
  • multiple target-engagement options, including kamikaze strikes and munition drops;
  • innovative technological equipment.

The Dovbush T40 is also highly resistant to electronic warfare. It was manufactured by a Ukrainian company with extensive experience producing such aircraft. The company’s Dovbush T20 and Kotyhoroshko unmanned aerial systems have been used on the battlefield since 2022 and have demonstrated some of the highest effectiveness rates.

The Dovbush T20 unmanned aircraft previously proved to be an effective solution for medium-range reconnaissance, real-time artillery fire adjustment and precision strikes. Based on feedback from the battlefield, it evolved into the longer-range and more powerful Dovbush T40 strike system.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Defense Ministry has explained which documents weapons and military equipment manufacturers need to prepare to have their systems codified.
