Your Favorite Toy, the latest album by Foo Fighters, did not turn out to be as big as some of the band’s past efforts. The project, which dropped in April, did not hold on to the Billboard charts for long and even failed to crack the top 20 on the Billboard 200.

Months after Your Favorite Toy came and went, the project is still being promoted with a tour and several singles. Foo Fighters collect a new hit on several rankings in the United States this week, and on one tally, the group pulls out of a historic tie with one of the most celebrated rock bands of all time.

Foo Fighters Score a Forty-Fifth Hit

“Window” debuts at No. 25 on the Alternative Airplay chart this week. The band earns its milestone forty-fifth career appearance on the roster, which details the songs that reach the largest total audiences on alternative radio stations throughout the U.S.

Foo Fighters Passes U2’s Chart Record

With 45 hits on the Alternative Airplay chart, Foo Fighters now claim the most appearances in the history of the ranking. Just last week, before “Window” debuted, Foo Fighters were tied with U2. The Irish rockers remain steady with 44 placements, though that figure could climb in the coming weeks and months as the band prepares to release a new album later this year.

Foo Fighters Dominate Alternative Radio

Foo Fighters rank among the most successful bands of all time on the Alternative Airplay chart in almost every respect. In addition to claiming the most hits overall, the group has collected an even dozen No. 1s – one of the largest accumulations of champions in the tally’s history. Foo Fighters also remain in first place when it comes to top 10s, as 34 of the band’s 45 smashes have soared into the highest tier.

Foo Fighters Debut on Another Rock Chart

“Window” also debuts on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart this week, the only other Billboard tally where the cut launches. The single opens at No. 26, just one spot lower than its starting point on the Alternative Airplay ranking. Foo Fighters earn a forty-fourth career hit on the Mainstream Rock Airplay roster.

Foo Fighters’ “Window” Jumps 20 Spaces

“Window” appears on one additional Billboard radio ranking, the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart. The single debuted at No. 44 just last week, and it enjoys a huge leap in its second frame on the list. This time around, the Foo Fighters track surges 20 spaces and lands at a new peak of No. 24.

Remarkably, only one position separates “Window” on each of the three radio charts where it appears this week. The track sits at Nos. 24, 25 and 26 on the Rock & Alternative Airplay, Alternative Airplay and Mainstream Rock Airplay rankings, respectively.

Foo Fighters’ “Everlong” Remains a Streaming Smash

While “Window” expands Foo Fighters’ presence at radio, “Everlong” continues to perform well on two streaming-focused charts. The classic remains at No. 1 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs tally, where it has spent months as one of the genre’s most-consumed tracks. “Everlong” has accumulated 303 weeks somewhere on that roster.

The song is also steady at No. 24 on the Alternative Streaming Songs ranking, settling into second-to-last on the 25-position list this week.
