Hyderabad-based GGF Astraa Analytica Pvt. Ltd. has expressed interest in establishing a ₹400-crore drone cluster in Kurnool Drone City. The company has sought around 100 acres of land for the project.

Minister for Investments, Infrastructure, and Roads \& Buildings B.C. Janardhan Reddy has assured the company of all support if it submits a comprehensive proposal.

The proposal was discussed during a meeting at the Secretariat on Thursday, where Mr. Janardhan Reddy met GGF Astraa Analytica CEO and Director Sai Prasad, Tech Director Sai Vignyan Reddy, and Operations Director T.S. Kiran.

The company, which develops drone-based applications, has collaborations with organisations in U.K. and Singapore. It has experience in drone-related research, assembly, manufacturing, testing, training, and incubation services.

Company representatives informed the Minister that the proposed drone cluster would require nearly 100 acres of land and would focus on strengthening the drone ecosystem through advanced research and manufacturing facilities.

Pushkaralu services

The firm also expressed interest in providing drone-based services during the 2027 Godavari Pushkaralu. It said drones could be effectively deployed for CCTV surveillance, security monitoring, crowd management, and traffic regulation during the religious event.

Responding to the proposal, Mr. Janardhan Reddy said the government would extend full support for setting up the unit once the company submits detailed project proposals. He also suggested conducting trial runs of the proposed drone services in September, after which the government would take an appropriate decision on their implementation.
