According to Ukrinform, the head of state said this in his nightly video address.

"It is very important that experienced commanders are given greater capabilities to act. There will be decisions at the corps and grouping levels. I have approved the first set of personnel appointments that we discussed with Mykhailo Drapatyi. Five decisions have already been made, and there will be more," Zelensky said.

He added that during a meeting with military officials, additional organizational decisions and the necessary resources were identified to strengthen the capabilities of Ukrainian units on the Sloviansk front, in Kostiantynivka and in the areas around Pokrovsk.

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, 236 combat clashes between Ukrainian forces and Russian troops were recorded on the front line on August 16, with the heaviest fighting reported on the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk fronts.
