LEGAZPI CITY – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded an “abrupt rise” in sulfur dioxide (SO₂) emissions from Mayon Volcano on Monday, suggesting the possibility of renewed eruptive activity.
