The SBU said this in a statement seen by Ukrinform.

The investigation established that the woman came to the attention of Russian operatives through a longtime acquaintance who lives in Russia and cooperates with Russian intelligence services.

On their instructions, the suspect drove her own car around areas within 10 kilometers of the line of contact, recording the locations of Ukrainian Defense Forces units as well as the routes used by Ukrainian Armed Forces military vehicles heading toward the front line.

The informant sent the collected data to the enemy in the form of coordinates of potential targets marked on Google Maps.

Investigators established that the Russians planned to use the intelligence to prepare strikes against Ukrainian Defense Forces positions.

SBU officers uncovered the spotter in advance, documented her activities and detained her during another reconnaissance mission.

During a search of her vehicle, officers seized a smartphone containing evidence of her cooperation with the enemy.

SBU investigators served the suspect with a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which covers the unauthorized dissemination of information about the movement or deployment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces or other military formations established in accordance with Ukrainian law, committed under martial law.

The suspect is being held in custody. She faces up to eight years in prison.

Authorities are also considering additional charges under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for high treason committed under martial law.

The Security Service of Ukraine recently detained a Russian agent in Izmail, Odesa region, who was preparing to blow up vehicles belonging to the Ukrainian Defense Forces near administrative buildings of defense agencies.
