CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The municipal government of Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro suspended work in all local government offices starting at noon on Tuesday, as heavy rains pounded the town. The Puerto Galera Public Information Office said the suspension was implemented to ensure the safety and welfare of municipal employees amid the bad weather.
