Yaroslav Zhelezniak, a member of parliament from the Holos party, announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Zelensky has submitted Khmara and Sybiha's nominations to parliament," he wrote.

According to the lawmaker, meetings between parliamentary factions and the candidates for the positions are scheduled to begin at 17:00.

On July 17, with the approval of President Volodymyr Zelensky, the government appointed Yevhenii Khmara as acting defense minister.

Before that, Khmara served as acting head of the Security Service of Ukraine, while Andrii Sybiha headed the Foreign Ministry.

On July 16, the Verkhovna Rada approved newly appointed Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi's proposal for the new Cabinet of Ministers.

On July 14, the Ukrainian parliament approved the resignation of Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko. The entire Cabinet automatically resigned along with her.
