Mamdani releases blooper reel after accusations his foreign language video was AI

New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani has released a blooper reel after accusations that he used AI for a recent video showing him speaking multiple languages.

Over the weekend, the mayor posted videos showing him speaking Mandarin, Bengali and Spanish as he promoted giving away 2,000 free Broadway tickets to high school students in the Big Apple.

He was praised for his accent and pronunciation which prompted critics to accuse him of using AI.

The mayor countered with a blooper reel on Monday (August 17) showing him repeatedly flubbing his lines with the caption “Could AI do this TAMBIEN?”
