As reported by Ukrinform, DTEK Group said this in a Facebook post.

“Russia carried out a massive attack on one of DTEK’s thermal power plants. The plant has halted electricity generation. Equipment has been severely damaged,” the statement said.

According to DTEK, its thermal power plants have been attacked more than 230 times since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. During a Russian attack on June 12, a company employee, Oleksandr Kosolapov, was killed.

As reported by Ukrinform, on August 17, a Russian drone attack on a DTEK Energy mine in the Dnipropetrovsk region killed 52-year-old miner Valentyn Kapitanov.
