CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Flooding was reported in 23 barangays in this city as rains associated with the southwest monsoon (habagat) continued to affect Oriental Mindoro on Wednesday, (Aug. 19, according to the Calapan City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC). As of 6 a.m., the city’s situational report said 111 families or 376 individuals have taken shelter inside evacuation centers, while another 105 families or 363 individuals had evacuated outside designated centers.
