A Cold War bunker offering 'beautiful views' over the English Channel has hit the market for £45,000.

The estate agents selling the property in the coastal town of Folkestone, Kent, admit that it is 'not their average listing'.

It is the last of 1,500 Royal Observation Corps Monitoring posts built during the Cold War era and 'remains in good structural condition', according to its listing.

And the bunker also offers a gated driveway which can accommodate as many as six cars, making it 'an ideal place to pull up the motor home and enjoy the view'.

The actual property is, however, only accessible via a ladder and none of its original fixtures and fittings have remained intact.

The bunker also currently does not have a water supply, though there is the potential to make a connection.

Pictures show that any buyer will have to climb down a ladder placed in a rectangular corridor towards the bunker, which is about 15 x 15 sq/m.

Miles and Barr are selling the property by Modern Method of Auction with a starting price of £45,000, allowing the buyer and seller to complete within a 56 day reservation period.
