The Disney Plus adaptation of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the OIympians series will return on Nov. 20. This will be the third season of the show and will adapt the novel The Titan's Curse. The cast and crew of the show made it clear during today's huge Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con that this will be the darkest season yet.

Season three of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will mark the first time The Titan's Curse has received a live-action adaptation. The first two novels in the series, The Lightning Thief and The Sea of Monsters, were previously adapted by 20th Century Fox in 2010 and 2013. As discussed during the SDCC panel, The Titan's Curse is something of a shift in tone. While the previous two seasons have included some dark moments, The Titan's Curse takes that to a whole new level.

For those lucky enough to be in attendance, Disney showed off the first few minutes of season 3. It reportedly saw Annabeth and Percy trying to recruit the newly awakened Thalia Grace (Tamara Smart). Thalia is looking for her former friend and series antagonist Luke, with Percy feeling conflicted about whether or not she is a good addition to the team. The Titan's Curse sees Percy and the gang embarking on a journey to rescue two new demigods. They eventually find themselves in yet another battle between the Titans and Gods, this time involving the Hunters of Artemis and the world-holding Atlas.

Fans will be excited to see newcomers Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie in action as Nico and Bianca di Angelo, the children of Hades. They'll join returning stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri as Percy, Annabeth, and Grover. Showrunner Dan Shotz said Annabeth's role has been significantly expanded in season 3 compared to the book. At the same time, the panelists also described the season as the most book-accurate so far.

The pantheon of Olympus has been expanded in season 3 with Dafne Keen (Logan, His Dark Materials) as Artemis, Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live) as Aphrodite, Ming-Na Wen (Agents of Shield) as Hera, Jennifer Beals (The L Word) as Demeter, and Hubert Smielecki as Apollo. Smielecki's casting is especially interesting, given Apollo's later importance in the story. Mindhunter's Holt McCallany will take on the role of Atlas, the season's big bad. One big omission from the panel was an official announcement that there will be a fourth season.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 will premiere exclusively on Disney Plus on Nov. 20, 2026.
