That is according to the SBI, Ukrinform reports.
Particular attention is being paid to cases in which subordinates are assigned to construction, maintenance and other private work instead of performing their military duties.
Investigative actions as part of the "Justice for Soldiers" operation are being conducted in various regions of Ukraine. A total of 72 searches are planned as part of 21 criminal proceedings.
Most of the proceedings concern the illegal accrual and receipt of payments. Fifty-eight searches are being conducted in 12 such proceedings. Based on their results, 20 people are expected to be formally notified of suspicion.

Overall, 22 people are expected to be formally declared suspects as a result of the operation.
In addition, the SBI has completed investigations in four more criminal proceedings concerning illegal payments to military personnel. Indictments against 16 people are expected to be submitted to court.
The "Justice for Soldiers" operation is being conducted with the support of the Armed Forces command.
The SBI and the General Staff are working together to ensure that every service member performs the duties prescribed by law and that funds allocated for the country's defense are used strictly for their intended purpose.
The operation is a continuation of the SBI's systematic efforts to restore order in the military sphere. Previously, the bureau conducted a large-scale "Honest Conscription" operation aimed at exposing corruption schemes in territorial recruitment and social support centers. At the time, SBI investigators and operatives simultaneously conducted dozens of searches in various regions of Ukraine, uncovering schemes to evade mobilization, illegally remove people liable for military service from the military register, and receive bribes.
The SBI will continue to conduct such comprehensive operations in cooperation with the military command.
Detailed results of the operation will be made public after the completion of the initial investigative actions.
