Deadline reports Nicolas Cage is attached to star in Parish, a sci-fi “action-thriller” set 30 years after the nuclear apocalypse. Directed by Adam Sigal (Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose), the story concerns âa hardened survivor who has managed to stay alive with his highly trained attack dogs by following one unbreakable rule: never let anyone through the gate. That rule has kept him alive for three decades. But when a desperate woman carrying an infant appears outside his sanctuary, Parish is forced to choose between compassion and survival. His decision exposes the refuge he has spent years building and puts him in the crosshairs of a vicious band of cannibals closing in from the wasteland.”
4X4: The Event
Deadline also has word Sophia Lillis, Dylan Minnette, Marcel Ruiz, Quintessa Swindell, Maddie Phillips, Mitchell Cole, Jaden Smith, and Jacob Tremblay will star in 4X4: The Event, a horror film following “eight contestants as they enter an illegal sensory-assault livestream where they must kill or be killed using only what they can order online.â Alex Ullom (It Ends) is attached to direct.
Haunting Skies
Variety reports a film adaptation of Haunting Skies, a supernatural sci-fi horror novel by Christian Kang Bachini, is now in development at Via Mantra Productions. Starring Natasha Halevi (Superman, Peacemaker) and Emily Ashby (Teela and the Masters of the Universe), the story âimagines an Earth already conquered by alien invaders, who abduct the remaining survivors for grotesque experiments. Their mistake is taking Elisa, a young girl possessed by Satan. Father Kang, the last surviving exorcist, devises a plan to get her aboard the alien mothership and make a deal with the Devil to turn Hell against the invaders.â Bachini is said to be directing the project himself, while Christopher Young (Hellraiser, Sinister, Drag Me to Hell) is attached to write the film’s score.

Bloody-Disgusting reports Practical Magic 2 has been rated PG-13 for âsome violent content, suggestive material and brief strong language.â
Family Movie
Deadline additionally reports Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwickâs meta horror-comedy, Family Movie, is now scheduled for an April 23, 2027, theatrical release. The story follows “a filmmaking family, the Smiths, and their low-budget horror movie which turns into a real-life slasher when a dead body shows up on set. Chaos ensues as the Smiths fight to keep the production on track.”
