A man has been charged in connection with the Manchester synagogue attack.

Counter terrorism police said Hekmat Omar Ali Hakim, 49, of St James Road, Higher Broughton, Salford has been charged with failing to disclose information regarding terrorist activity.

Hakim has been remanded to appear before Westminster Magistrates Court on Friday.

Police said the charge "relates directly" to the attack which took place on the morning of Thursday 2 October 2025, which saw two men killed when the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue was attacked by Jihad Al-Shamie, who died at the scene after being shot by police.
