Paramedics rescued after getting caught in hurricane flooding
Two paramedics whose vehicle became surrounded by rapidly rising water were rescued in Hawaii.
Footage released by the Adjutant General of Hawaii and the Hawaii National Guard on Sunday (16 August) shows the two emergency workers on top of their truck in fast-moving floodwaters in Naalehu.
“Never underestimate the power of moving water,” officials warned.
The incident occurred as Hurricane Lala passed near the Hawaiian islands, bringing damaging winds and heavy rainfall to the state.
