According to Ukrinform, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

“Since the night before August 20, the enemy has taken the lives of 16 people in Kyiv, 42 people were injured, and 12 others were rescued,” the statement said.

According to the State Emergency Service, Russian forces attacked the capital for the third time that day in the evening of August 20. The attack caused a warehouse building to catch fire.

The fire, which covered an area of 400 square meters, was extinguished at 00:07 on August 21.

Earlier, one person had been reported injured in the incident.

In addition, emergency recovery work at a site in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district will resume in the morning. As of 23:30, rescuers had dismantled five floor slabs and removed 62 cubic meters of destroyed building structures.

As reported, since the morning of August 20, air raid alerts were issued six times in Kyiv because of Russian drones and Banderol loitering munitions. Earlier reports put the death toll at 15, with 39 people injured.
