Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for Ukraine's State Border Guard Service, said this on Ukrainian television, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"In the Sumy region, enemy activity has been observed in the Yunakivka community, where the enemy has also intensified its assault operations over the past few weeks. In the Shostka district, meanwhile, the enemy periodically probes our defenses and attempts to attack positions held by our troops, using infantry groups," Demchenko said.

He added that Russian forces are not conducting operations with infantry or sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the Chernihiv region. However, the enemy shells border areas there daily, using drones and artillery.
As reported, 238 combat engagements between Ukrainian forces and Russian invaders were recorded on August 20, with the enemy exerting the greatest pressure on the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka axes.
