According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Defense reported this.
Alexa Spatium is a high-speed jet-powered unmanned aircraft. Ukrainian engineers developed it specifically to destroy small aerial, ground and surface targets in real combat conditions.
The interceptor is designed primarily to engage Russian Geran-3, Geran-4, Geran-5 and Shahed-131 kamikaze drones. The system can also be used against reconnaissance drones, helicopters and other individual targets.
During testing, the interceptor confirmed the tactical and technical specifications claimed by the manufacturer.
Among Alexa Spatium’s features are a powerful turbojet engine, a high service ceiling, a significant combat range, reliable control and video transmission systems, high maneuverability, fully remote preparation and launch, as well as a high maximum and low minimum speed to conserve fuel.
Other advantages include:
- a wide flight envelope, from low to medium altitudes;
- effective search and targeting systems, including television and infrared;
- flexible combat employment, either using pre-programmed coordinates or direct guidance;
- various warhead options, including high-explosive fragmentation, shaped-charge and thermobaric warheads.
The drone measures approximately 1.5 by 1.7 meters. It is made of a lightweight, durable composite material that enables sharp maneuvers without loss of control. Its warhead is designed to effectively engage a wide range of aerial targets.
Alexa Spatium can be launched from a mobile catapult within minutes. If it does not complete its mission, the drone can return to the launch site and be used again.

During the interceptor’s development, engineers achieved several key objectives, including:
- rapid response, with the jet-powered platform enabling swift deployment and mission execution;
- resilience in challenging operating conditions;
- minimal requirements for preparing launch positions;
- automated processes;
- high mobility, with the entire system fitting into a pickup truck;
- a modular design.
As reported, the Ukrainian-made Dovbush T40 unmanned aerial system has also recently been approved for use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
