Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman A. Ravi Naidu on Friday criticised the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) and its president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for making “incoherent” comments on the DSC 2026 recruitment examination and attempting to derive political mileage “out of nothing”.
Addressing a media conference here, Mr. Ravi Naidu described their statements as “random rants” that reflected a lack of understanding of the conduct of competitive examinations.
“While in power, Mr. Jagan could not give a single job and this is why such things appear new to his party,” he said.
Mr. Ravi Naidu alleged that every statement made by Mr. Jagan at his press conference on Thursday was “a blatant lie”.
He said the beneficiaries of DSC 2026 and the officials who conducted the mega examination on behalf of the government were convinced that there was no scam. However, the YSRCP leaders were unwilling to accept this and were continuing to “sling mud” at the government, he alleged.
The SAAP Chairman also challenged the YSRCP to participate in a debate on the APPSC Group-I and Group-II examinations conducted during the erstwhile government, alleging large-scale irregularities in those examinations.
Thathayyagunta Gangamma Devasthanam Chairman Nainar Mahesh Yadav, Kapu Corporation Director Thota Vasu, Mudaliar Corporation Director S.V.M. Sridhar and Telugu Yuvatha leader Kotte Hemanth Royal also participated in the media conference.
