According to Ukrinform, Ukraine’s General Staff reported the strike on Telegram.
The August 20 strike on the Akhtubinsk airfield resulted in confirmed damage to a Su-34 aircraft and a fuel spill at the facility.
The Akhtubinsk airfield is home to Russia’s 929th State Flight Test Center, one of the country’s main facilities for testing and evaluating new military aircraft and weapons.
Russia uses the airfield to base Su-34 aircraft, which are employed to launch guided aerial bomb strikes against Ukraine.
