The number of illegal Israeli settlements and outposts in the occupied West Bank has reached 592 by the end of July, according to the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission.

The sites comprise 192 settlements and 400 outposts, including 231 pastoral outposts.

The commission said nearly 780,000 Israeli settlers were living in these settlements: around 333,600 in Jerusalem settlements and 446,400 elsewhere.

Israel now controls over about 42 percent of the West Bank, rising to 71 percent of Area C and 91 percent of the Jordan Valley.

The foreign ministers of Turkey, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE condemned Israel's settlement policies in Palestinian territories and said they categorically rejected the Israeli construction called "E1" in the occupied West Bank.
