Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“Nearly 600 passengers, including 15 children, came under attack by Russian jet-powered drones today. The enemy struck a passenger train and, after the first strike, when rescuers and emergency services were already working at the scene, launched a second strike. Fortunately, no one was injured,” the official said.
According to Kiper, following the first attack, the train was urgently stopped, and all passengers, as well as the train and locomotive crews, were evacuated to a safe distance.
People were quickly transported away from the site of the strike. Emergency medical teams were stationed along the evacuation route.
The evacuation has now been completed. All passengers have been taken to Odesa.
