Another day, another Grand Theft Auto 6 leak. This one has revealed a handful of additional details about the game and includes an NPC referencing a famous 2021 gas station prank that went viral online. It’s also the latest evidence that the person or group responsible remains at large and continues to seemingly have access to a robust build of the game.

This leak is titled “Gas” and shows Jason driving through a residential neighborhood to a gas station, where the attendant is yelling at some guy for pumping fuel directly onto what looks like a bathtub in the back of his truck. “Who the f*ck are you trying to regulate me?” says the NPC as Jason approaches. The gameplay footage then shows Jason stealing his truck and backing over him before driving off, only to get nailed by incoming traffic, which leads to a big explosion and the series’ iconic “Wasted” game over screen.

The NPC is a reference to a 2021 video that showed a couple’s shocked reaction to a man at a gas station trying to fill up the bed of his truck. It was posted after the Colonial Pipeline was hacked, leading to temporary fuel shortages in some areas and longer lines than usual at some gas stations. They keep telling him how dangerous it is, only for him to drive off and then have a ton of the fuel pour over the side as he makes a sharp turn. It was all a staged clip, obviously, but it traveled far and wide before the viral moment was debunked as a clout-chasing stunt.

It’s exactly the kind of thing you’d expect GTA to parody, with the NPC in the leaked clip going on to accuse the government of trying to steal his gas. The new footage also shows the player being able to open the hood of the truck and dismemberment as the NPC is crushed. Hardcore fans have continued combing through the leaks for any grain of new information, but one of the biggest questions is how the game’s protagonist swapping will work.

Through this process, Cyberleeks has been ending each new video with a tease, and sure enough this one shows a prompt for “return to Lucia” at the end, suggesting the next video will show footage of GTA 6‘s other main character, and potentially how players change between them. If Rockstar Games and Take-Two are closing in on unmasking the source of the clips, Cyberleaks sure isn’t acting like it.
