MANILA, Philippines — Sweden, Poland, Romania and Lithuania formally joined the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) on Friday, reaffirming their commitment to the pact’s principles of peaceful relations and regional cooperation. The four countries signed their instruments of accession during a ceremony hosted by the Philippines, this year’s chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean).
