Dy eyes passage of additional Ledac priority bills before yearend

MANILA, Philippines – House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III expressed confidence that the House of Representatives can pass more of the administration’s priority legislation before the end of the year, noting that many of the remaining measures are already in the advanced stages of the legislative process.

In a video statement, Dy shared that several priority bills are already moving through Congress, including the proposed Cybersecurity Act, which is scheduled for second reading, while eight other measures are awaiting action by the Committee on Appropriations or the Committee on Ways and Means.

The Speaker said the House will continue prioritizing legislation that directly addresses the needs of ordinary Filipinos.

Dy also emphasized the importance of close coordination with the Executive Branch, particularly the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO), saying prompt agency feedback and the early submission of executive versions of proposed measures help speed up the legislative process.
