According to Ukrinform, Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, reported this during a television broadcast.

“Actually, speaking specifically about the border line, fortunately, no unusual situations or provocative actions originating from Belarusian territory have been reported,” he said.

At the same time, Demchenko noted that this sector, which spans more than 1,000 km of Ukraine’s border with Belarus, remains a threat, “so we must first and foremost strengthen our defensive capabilities to counter any threat that may come from Belarusian territory.”

“In the immediate vicinity of our border, we are not observing any buildup of strike forces that are being formed or have already been formed and are ready for an invasion. But, again, we must be prepared for various kinds of provocations aimed at forcing Ukraine, for example, to deploy additional forces there, thereby weakening other, more important fronts,” Demchenko emphasized.

According to him, the task of intelligence units and other components of the Defense Forces is to monitor what is happening deep within Belarusian territory and assess how the situation might change.

“Russia continues to exert pressure on Belarus to exploit this front. In particular, we cannot rule out either the possibility that Belarus might join the war launched by Russia on its own, or that Russia might deploy additional forces to this front at any moment,” the spokesperson added.

As reported by Ukrinform, in the Dobropillia sector, pilots from the Phoenix Unit of the Pomsta Border Guard Brigade, together with allied forces, repelled a Russian assault in which the enemy deployed dozens of armored vehicles.
