Miscreants have hacked the X account of Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha and posted some comments later, according to the police. Officials of the Home Minister’s Peshi lodged a complaint to this effect with the Anakapalli police on Friday.

“The miscreants changed the Display Picture (DP) of the Home Minister’s X account. The Cybercrime police swung into action to trace the hackers,” said Cybercrime Inspector General of Police Ake Ravi Krishna.

“We are trying to find out who hacked the account and from where. An expert team is working on the case and we have some definite clues,” Mr. Ravi Krishna told The Hindu on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the police appealed to the people not to follow the hacked account and respond to the comments.
