"We believe that a vehicle entered the Tiergarten park and hit several people and injured them," police posted on social media.

Police said they were conducting an intensive manhunt for suspects.

They added multiple officers and Berlin Fire Department rescue crews were deployed in to the Tiergarten area after a vehicle was believed to have driven into people there, injuring several. The injured were being treated by emergency personnel.

Pride parade participants told to 'go home, please'

Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets of Berlin to advocate for tolerance and diversity, culminating in concerts at the Brandenburg Gate.

The event was cut short and police told participants to "go home, please."

It was not immediately clear whether the incident was intentional or, if so, whether CSD was the target.

The CSD parade ended on 17 June Street which crosses Berlin's Tiergarten to the Brandenburg Gate, which has been the venue for concerts since Friday.
