Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” became so enormous shortly after it dropped that nearly every song she released after first pushing the single in late 2025 also turned into a commercial win. The track continues to lead the Billboard Hot 100 months after its arrival, and it already ranks among the longest-running champions in the history of that tally.
“Choosin’ Texas” helped power Langley’s sophomore album, Dandelion. The full-length arrived months after its breakout single dominated multiple charts, as well as several additional tracks that performed well on their own.
For the first time since the project’s release, though, Langley no longer rules one of Billboard’s most important country rankings. She does not fall far, and she is replaced by a friend and collaborator who has topped the roster for years.
Ella Langley Falls From No. 1 for the First Time
Dandelion steps back from No. 1 to No. 2 on the Top Country Albums chart. The ranking looks at the most-consumed country full-lengths and EPs in the United States, and both actual sales and streaming activity are built into its methodology.
Langley’s album debuted at the summit 14 weeks ago and had not moved from that position until now. This frame marks the first time Dandelion has backtracked to any slot on the tally.
Morgan Wallen Returns to No. 1
Morgan Wallen replaces Langley at the summit as his set I’m the Problem climbs back to No. 1. His year-old collection has now spent 61 weeks somewhere on the Top Country Albums chart after debuting in first place in May 2025, and much of that time has been in the top spot. The project earns a milestone forty-fifth week running the show as it bounds back to the top space.
I’m the Problem Makes History with Another Week at No. 1
I’m the Problem becomes only the fifth release in the history of the Top Country Albums ranking to rule for at least 45 frames. Wallen’s most recent full-length trails Shania Twain’s Come On Over and Luke Combs’ This One’s for You by only about a month. Considering how well I’m the Problem continues to perform to this day, it may catch both of those sets before long.
Morgan Wallen Claims the Two Longest Reigns
The two longest-running champions in the history of the Top Country Albums chart also belong to Wallen. Dangerous: The Double Album accumulated 97 weeks at No. 1, while One Thing at a Time followed with 87 frames in charge.
Wallen has placed six projects on the ranking, and four have reached the No. 1 space. In addition to his three historically long-running leaders, If I Know Me finally climbed to No. 1 in August 2020, more than two years after it debuted. The singer’s breakout set controlled the tally for two weeks, and introduced him to an audience of millions.
Ella Langley Has Charted Three Country Albums
Langley earned her first Top Country Albums champion in April when Dandelion debuted in the peak position. Her previous full-length, Hungover, opened on the roster in August 2024 but did not reach its No. 5 high until January of this year, largely thanks to the explosive popularity of “Choosin’ Texas.”
Excuse the Mess, an EP originally released in the spring of 2023, finally reached the Top Country Albums chart in February 2026. It barely managed to break into the top 40, peaking at No. 39, but its arrival speaks to how huge this year has been for Langley.
Morgan Wallen and Ella Langley Control the Top Five
Wallen and Langley occupy every position inside the top five on the current addition of the Top Country Albums chart. I’m the Problem leads the charge, followed by Dandelion at No. 2. One Thing at a Time and Dangerous: The Double Album lift to Nos. 3 and 4, respectively. Langley’s Hungover rounds out the region by returning to its previously established No. 5 peak.
Wallen nearly claims a fourth title within the top 10. The more than eight-year-old If I Know Me appears at No. 15 this frame, just a few rungs beneath the loftiest tier.
Morgan Wallen and Ella Langley Nearly Score a No. 1
The first singles from Dandelion, “Choosin’ Texas” and “Be Her,” remain among the biggest hits of any style in America. Langley’s collaboration with Wallen, “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” is also continuing to grow. The team-up reaches a new high of No. 13 on the all-format Radio Songs chart. It simultaneously holds at its No. 3 peak on the Country Airplay ranking, where it may soon give both Wallen and Langley another No. 1.
