The use of the word “fork” is intentional. I’m not talking of a Neo-Luddite reactions or pure tech nostalgia. The question is if current technologies in themselves are OK, but you’d rather like to see different uses to it.

One example are LLMs: they could definitely be used for smaller things like spell checking or to actual work if they were biased towards proper citation and attribution instead of mere plagiarism. I’m not sure if the latter is possible so that’s one thing to be discussed.

Moreover, I didn’t ask “how” in the title as that would be a leading question, but if you have any ideas on how to do it, I would love to hear them.
