According to Ukrinform, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert "Magyar" Brovdi announced the interception on Facebook.

"The carrier of KAB-20 aerial bombs with laser guidance was detected and destroyed on July 27, 2026 by pilots of the 7th Topota Battalion of the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade 'Magyar's Birds' over the territory of Russia's Kursk region with the Ukrainian interceptor 'Chaklun-KM' at an altitude of 4,300 meters," Brovdi said.

The "Forpost-R" has a takeoff weight of 500 kg and a flight endurance of 18 hours at an altitude of up to 6,000 m.

According to him, this is a rare trophy: the sixth confirmed shootdown since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and the second on the record of the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade "Magyar's Birds" (the first was shot down in April 2025).

"Since the creation of the USF grouping (11.06.25), the pilots of the units have hit/destroyed 45,067 (43,688) enemy strike and reconnaissance fixed-wing drones and 9,186 Shaheds/Gerberas. Among them, the Forpost is only the second," the USF commander added.

As Ukrinform previously reported, the Unmanned Systems Forces destroyed two Russian air defense systems in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region.
