That is according to Eskender Bariiev, head of the board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center and a member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, Ukrinform reports.

"Just a week ago, we received information that there are 20 separate cells on the third floor of Detention Center No. 2 where political prisoners held incommunicado are being kept. We also received information about how many people are being held in each cell – three in some, four in others and two in others. According to our estimates, about 56 people are being held incommunicado," he said.

Incommunicado detention is a state of complete isolation of a detained person from the outside world, in which their whereabouts are concealed, they are denied contact with relatives and a lawyer, and the state or authorized bodies deny that the person is being held at all.
