Glenorchy-Queenstown Road closed following bus crash

A scenic road near Queenstown is closed following a bus crash.

In a statement, police said motorists should avoid Glenorchy-Queenstown Road while the bus is removed from the road.

While some occupants on the bus had been injured in the crash about 9am, police said injuries were minor.

The road would be closed "for some time".

Police said they didn't know what type of bus was involved, its size or how many people were on board.

A heavy haulage crane is being sent to the scene.
