Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for Ukraine's Joint Forces Task Force, confirmed the development in a comment to Ukrinform, responding to reports by the DeepState analytical project about Russian advances near Artilne.

"Yes, there is an attempted incursion in the border area, roughly in the direction of Ivashchyne," Trehubov said.

He added that Ukraine's Defense Forces are working to contain the attack and eliminate the enemy forces.

As Ukrinform previously reported, troops from the Rapid Response Commandant's Office of the 4th Border Guard Detachment detected and destroyed a Russian assault group of 18 soldiers on the approaches to Artilne in the Kharkiv region.
