The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its operational update as of 22:00, published on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"Since the beginning of the day, there have been 226 combat engagements. The aggressor carried out 59 airstrikes using 190 guided aerial bombs, launched 6,125 kamikaze drones, and conducted 2,047 attacks on the positions of our troops and populated areas," the statement said.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Russian forces carried out 54 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including one involving a multiple launch rocket system.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy launched 16 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Starytsia and Lyman, as well as toward Chaikivka, Kozacha Lopan, Izbytske, Anyskyno, Ambarne and Zapadne.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops launched two assaults near Petropavlivka and toward Shyikivka. One engagement was still ongoing at the time of reporting.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight Russian attempts to advance toward Drobysheve, Lyman and Ozerne, as well as near Novoselivka and Novomykhailivka. One battle was still underway.
In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 19 Russian assaults near Kryva Luka, Zakitne and Riznykivka, as well as toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and Pyskunivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops launched four attacks near Pryvillia, Nykyforivka and toward Malynivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled 27 Russian assaults near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka and toward Stepanivka. Three engagements were still ongoing.
The Pokrovsk sector remained the epicenter of the fighting. Russian forces carried out 29 attacks, attempting to advance near Vasylivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Molodetske and Novooleksandrivka, as well as toward Toretske, Novopavlivka, Kucheriv Yar, Vilne, Svitle, Shevchenko, Matiasheve, Novyi Donbas and Novohryshyne. Two combat engagements were still in progress.
According to preliminary estimates, Ukrainian forces killed 32 Russian soldiers and wounded nine in the Pokrovsk sector throughout the day. They also destroyed 27 personnel shelters, one piece of special equipment and a fuel and lubricants depot. Additionally, six artillery systems, one vehicle, one piece of special equipment, three drone command posts and 161 personnel shelters were damaged. Ukrainian forces also destroyed or suppressed 296 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles of various types.

No enemy offensive operations were recorded in the Oleksandrivka sector.
In the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 13 Russian attacks toward Kosivtseve, Vozdvyzhivka, Staroukrainka, Tsvitkove, Charivne, Novoselivka and near Zaliznychne. Two engagements were still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled four Russian attempts to advance near Stepove, Shcherbaky, Plavni and toward Pavlivka.
No offensive operations were recorded in the Dnipro River sector.
No significant changes were reported in the remaining sectors of the front.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, Russian forces are attempting to push into the border area near the village of Artilne in the Kharkiv region, advancing toward Ivashchyne.
