The rejuvenated New Zealand sharemarket tested the historic 14,000 points mark with a gain of more than 0.8% as Fisher & Paykel Healthcare hit a new all-time high.

The S&P/NZX 50 Index touched 14,000.25 in the afternoon before it slipped to a close of 13,976.67, up 114.74 points or 0.83%
