Motorcyclist killed in collision with bus in Carmen, Bohol

LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu — A 25-year-old motorcyclist was killed after his motorcycle collided with a bus in Sitio Proper 2, Barangay Bicao, Carmen town, Bohol, on Monday afternoon, July 27, 2026.

The victim was identified only by the alias “Arbie,” 25, a resident of Sitio Sevillahanon, Barangay Bicao, Carmen, Bohol. He was driving the motorcycle at the time of the incident.

The impact of the collision severed the victim’s right foot.

The bus driver was identified only by the alias “Alvin,” 46, a resident of Barangay Buenavista, Carmen, Bohol.

Police said the Carmen Municipal Police Station received a report about the crash from a concerned citizen.

Based on the police investigation, the bus was traveling from Barangay Bicao toward Tagbilaran City, while the motorcycle was heading in the opposite direction, from Barangay Katipunan to Barangay Bicao.

Upon reaching the accident site, the motorcycle allegedly veered into the opposite lane and crashed into the left headlight portion of the bus.

The force of the collision threw the victim about 35 meters from the point of impact.

He sustained severe head injuries, and the amputation of his right foot contributed to his instantaneous death.

The bus driver was taken to the Carmen Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
