Pop star Madison Beer and NFL quarterback Justin Herbert engaged
'Meet my fiancé,' says couple in joint Instagram post
Madison Beer, the singer-songwriter known for hits like Make You Mine and Selfish just became the latest pop princess betrothed to an NFL player — Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert.
The couple on Tuesday jointly posted photos to Instagram of them frolicking in a garden together. One photo shows Herbert on one knee while Beer crouches next to him, smiling ear-to-ear. The caption is short and sweet: "meet my fiancé."
People including singer Gracie Abrams and even massive companies like Apple Music have left congratulatory messages under the post.
One comment pokes fun at the quarterback, saying "She got a ring before Herbert."
Herbert was drafted to the Los Angeles Chargers in 2020, but has yet to win a championship ring.
The Chargers took to their own social media to shout out the happy couple, reposting photos from their engagement with the caption: "JH+MB 4EV."
The Grammy-nominated pop star, 27, and the quarterback, 28, started dating in the past year.

They were first publicly seen together last August, when Herbert was caught visiting Beer on the set of one of her music videos.
The pair have positioned themselves as the next musician-athlete power couple, joining the high-profile ranks of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce and Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen.
Beer has cheered her man on from the sidelines at Chargers games, and Herbert co-starred in the video for her song lovergirl, released in May, as part of her latest album locket deluxe.
The quarterback returns to the field Wednesday for the start of training camp for his seventh season with the Chargers.
